How and where is it extracted?

There are deposits under a layer of  lava in the Himalayan mountains. Thanks to this natural “protective layer”, the salt stored there for so long remained in its pure form, without the influence of toxic environment. Pink salt is extracted by hand, then dried in the sun.

Why is it pink?

Its composition includes 84 minerals, including – iron oxide, which gives a shade. In addition, there are: fluorine, phosphorus, bromine, chromium, zinc, selenium, iodine and other useful substances.

The pink salt contains other components that are toxic in themselves. Such as arsenic, lead, plutonium. But they are safe in Himalayan salt, because their amount is absolutely harmless.

The difference from conventional salt

Recently, a group of scientists from Belgium, the United States and Germany found that the abuse of salt can destroy the intestinal microflora. Ordinary salt is in its pure form Sodium Chloride (97.5%), almost completely devoid of minerals + chemical additives (about 2.5%). And even iodization of salt occurs synthetically.

Such salt is not absorbed into the body completely, which leads to fluid retention in the tissues of the body and its organs. As you know, the result can be various problems: kidney stones, arthritis, cellulite, rheumatism – this is not all.

Pink salt does not carry such a danger, because it contains the necessary electrolytes that prevent dehydration.

Where is the pink salt used

The spectrum of its application is wide enough. From the usual consumption of food instead of simple salt, before the prevention of colds and flu.

Wet crystals in the water wipe the wounds, in order that they would soon heal.

Warm baths are taken from pain in the joints (half a cup of salt added to the bath)

Dry cough occurs if you do inhalation (a teaspoon of salt for a half liter of water), and a solution is recommended to rinse the mouth to eliminate bad breath and reduce toothache.

Pink salt also eliminates acne. Various cosmetics have this salt in the composition.

Himalayan salt, in fact, is harmless. However, abuse is dangerous. Scientists have found that an overdose (about 30 grams and more) can even lead to a fatal outcome.
