Wikipedia admitted British daily newspaper The Daily Mail an unreliable source of information. The editors and authors of the free encyclopedia have decided to use this publication as the last resort if there are no variants.

This does not mean that The Daily Mail will not be used as a source. Just its rating is significantly decreased relatively to other publications.

The supporters of the English newspaper are trying to protect the tabloid. They argue that reporters of The Daily Mail sometimes get reliable information before others.

The Daily Mail is not the first newspaper which received distrust of the compilers of the free online encyclopedia. The list also includes such periodicals like The Sun, Daily Mirror, that The Daily Express. Also, Russian international multilingual news channel Russia Today, news agency Sputnik News, and Iranian web resource Press TV were attributed to the unreliable sources.
