It is known that bees are insects, creating an invaluable medicine – honey, whose useful qualities are endless. It would seem that bees are very harmless creatures, creating useful honey. They manifest their aggression only when necessary to protect themselves. No one even suspected that the killer bees exist. Brazilian scientists have proved that bees are not always peaceful creatures. Scientists conducted an experiment in which they created unique bee-killers. Together with a special solution, the so-called neuropeptides were introduced into the brain of insects. This protein is found in the body only by extremely dangerous and aggressive bees, which are a connected species of European and African bees. The results were highlighted in the Journal of Proteome Research. The researchers applied a white paint on the body of 100 African American bees and was put in evidence. Then, 20 days later, near their clues, scientists placed large black balls, which were attacked by bees in 30 seconds, as they were in the field of view. The bees attacked the balls and then could not fly away, because the stinger could not be taken out of their bodies by bees. Insects with and without peptides were soon frozen and sent to the laboratory.
At the second stage of the experiment, two other peptides, AmAST and AmTRP, were found to influence insects. The protein along with the physical solution was injected into the body of young bees only seven days old, since old bees are more aggressive. Later, the bees were transferred to plastic boxes with leather targets. The work of scientists showed that the process of peptide synthesis was performed in the body of bees, while the concentration of another substance, allatostatin, increased.

Conventional bees that were not subjected to the introduction of physiological saline with the peptide showed almost no aggression. This species of bees is a mixed species of bees of African and European breeds. They give several times more honey, multiply much more quickly than ordinary bees. The only major defect of these bees is excessive aggression, manifested in animals and humans. This is very beneficial for beekeepers. But are they ready to be subjected to aggression by bee-killers? I do not think…
