The leadership of Lipetsk confectionery factory Roshen has decided to stop the operation of the business. This statement was made by the general director of the Russian branch of the company. The head said that this decision was made in connection with the political and economic difficulties. Production has decreased significantly due to the reduce in demand for confectionery. This situation led to a massive personnel dismissal. Currently, confectionery factory is serviced only by 700 workers.

Complete cessation of confectionery factory is scheduled for April.

It is necessary to clarify that the company can not be sold because of the arrest. Criminal proceedings have been initiated by Investigative Committee of Russia. It made impossible the selling of the factory and all the equipment.

Company owner

The owner of the company Roshen is the acting head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. At the time of running the country, the President handed over his shares to an independent trust.
