Vegetarianism is beneficial not only for a human. This type of diet has a positive effect on the environment. The scientists from the United States’ organization “Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics” came to this conclusion.

The experts emphasize that those people who have excluded meat from their diet, less prone to the emergence of various diseases. For example, they are less likely to suffer from type 2 diabetes, diseases of the cardiovascular system, and even some forms of cancer. This also applies to those people who have completely abandoned the eating of any animal products, i.e. vegans.

Moreover, according to the scientists, vegetarianism has a positive impact on the environment. The experts have a very simple explanation for this situation. For the production of vegetarian foods far fewer resources are consumed than for growing animals. In addition, during the manufacture of the products of vegetable origin less carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.
