Everyone loves to sleep soundly and sweetly. But there are many people who have lost the ability to fall asleep normally. For many of them, every night turns into a real torment.
If a person is overcome by insomnia, then he not only does not get pleasure from being in bed, but suffers greatly: he wants to sleep deadly, his head is heavy, his eyes cannot be opened, and the brain does not turn off.

Fortunately, getting rid of this agony is not as difficult as many people think. First, you need to establish the cause of insomnia. If a person has some kind of serious illness that constantly torments him, or he suffers from depression, or just experienced some kind of severe stress, then he cannot do without the help of doctors.

If you have serious sleep problems, then consult a specialist / doctor before applying the recommendations!

But if a person’s life is relatively normal, he is more or less healthy, lives a normal life, is not in a state of severe stress, and at the same time cannot sleep normally at night, then this problem is not at all difficult to solve.

You just need to follow a few recommendations.

1. Stop worrying about insomnia.
In general, you need to learn to take everything calmly. All daily problems and worries should be able to get out of your head before going to bed.

You only need to think about the good. In no case should you worry about not sleeping well. There is no need to wind it up for yourself, no need to get stuck and completely immerse yourself in this problem.

Insomnia is not so terrible as all the worries about it.

2. Strictly observe the regime.
Every day you have to get up at the same time, regardless of what time you went to bed and how you slept at night. This requirement must be met strictly.

If, for example, you need to get up at 6 o’clock in order to be in time for work, then get up at exactly 6 o’clock every day, even on weekends.

Even if you don’t have to go anywhere, there are no important urgent matters, even if you turn around again at midnight (or even all night) and don’t really fall asleep — still force yourself to get up at exactly 6 o’clock.

No matter how difficult it is, this rule must be observed very strictly, ironically. You must also go to bed at the same time.

3. Lead an active lifestyle.
This is the most banal and oldest recommendation in the world will never lose its relevance. Movement is life. If you have a sedentary job, then you need to find the time and energy to do sports.

Or at least walk as much as possible. You need to move a lot, and preferably in the fresh air.

For the body to want to sleep, it must be very tired physically.

What not to do?

In no case should you try to resort to alcohol. It is better not to drink it at all while you are suffering from insomnia. It will only make the situation worse.
Don’t rush to take sleeping pills. They are prescribed by doctors and only in extreme cases, when a person completely stops sleeping.
Don’t go to bed during the day. This can only be done at a strictly allotted time.

And that’s all. Nothing else is required. If you strictly follow these recommendations, then be sure to defeat insomnia.

You just need to be patient. Most often, this problem cannot be solved in 2 days or a week. But after 2-3 months you will start to sleep normally.
