Tim Alessi, a top manager of one of the largest companies in the production of household appliances and electronics — LG, said that the demand for 3D TV sets had dropped significantly in recent years. Fewer and fewer consumers prefer models that support the 3D format. South Korean company’s representatives are going to stop the development and production of TVs with a 3D option.
Instead, TV sets compatible with HDR technology will be produced. This technique allows bringing the image on the screen to what the human eye sees in reality.
Not only LG’s experts will introduce the latest technology, refusing to 3D. Their example was followed by such well-known brands as the Japanese corporation Sony, South Korean manufacturer Samsung and the Dutch company Philips.
