Australian scientists from the University of Sydney have found out exactly what sports could prolong people’s lives.

A group of researchers from the different countries of the world under the direction of Australian professors had been conducting the experiments for a long period of time. The scientists have come to some interesting conclusions. It turns out that your favorite sports are able to extend human life. People who are engaged in aerobics, swimming, tennis and cycling, rarely suffer from diseases of the cardiovascular system.

Aerobics and swimming reduce the risk of death from the cardiovascular diseases by an average of 40%, cycling – 15%, tennis – almost 50%.

Both badminton and squash have also a positive effect on elderly people.

Research data for 12 years have been analyzed by the scientists. More than eighty thousand people took part in the experiment. The average age in the group was 52 years.
