Reebok Company plans to create the sneakers on a 3D printer. This modern method of shoes’ production will be tested at the new factory. It will be opened in Lincoln in 2017.
Thanks to the latest technology the cost of shoes will decrease. Reebok Company has been using expensive molds for the production of the footwear for more than 30 years. A lot of time is spent on the fabrication of the shoes’ soles of this brand. The using of 3D printer speeds up the production process, and make the sneakers more available for the consumer.
Reebok Company has already released a limited collection of shoes, which was made with the help of 3-D printing. The cost of a pair of the shoes is 190 dollars. The collection is named Reebok Liquid Speed.
The main competitors of Reebok, Nike and Adidas, already use this latest technology for the production of the football boots. According to the representatives of Adidas, only two technologists works on a creation of the soles. Earlier 12 experts have been carrying out this operation.
The designer from Macedonia Irina Tosheva uses 3D printer. The latest collection of the stylist includes the components of clothes which were manufactured by 3D printing.
Currently, the use of 3D printer became very popular in different spheres of human life. It is used in construction, medicine, business, art, cooking. Modern technology is developing by leaps and bounds.
