Peaceful protests are held under the walls of the Verkhovna Rada and the National Bank of Ukraine in Kiev. Approximately six thousand of people take part in these meetings.

The protesters put forward a number of requirements to the Ukrainian government. Firstly, the participants of the meeting demand the resignation of Valeria Gontareva, the head of National Bank. Secondly, the people insist on the return of the deposits, which were placed in the bankrupt banks. In addition, the reduction of the tariffs for communal services is one of the population’s requirement.

Traffic is blocked on the main streets of the Ukrainian capital, as well as in the governmental quarter of the city. Kiev police operate in the strengthened regime. The metal detectors are installed in the area of Institutska street.

It is expected that the protests and the other similar events will be held until the end of November in Kiev. Relevant requests for carrying out of meetings have been submitted to the Kiev police. All this time the Ukrainian security services will be in a heightened state of alert.
