French Prime Minister Manuel Valls left his position. He argued his decision the desire to participate in the forthcoming elections for the presidency of the country. All the ministers resigned following their leader.

Bernard Kaznev is appointed the new head of the French government. He has extensive experience in the governmental positions. Until today Kaznev has been the Minister of Internal Affairs of France.

Implementation of the French presidential elections is scheduled for the spring of 2017.

Francois Hollande, the current president of France, decided not to participate in the upcoming election campaign. For the first time in the history of modern French a head of state does not want to re-run for the presidency.
