According to the official sources of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Ukrainian mountaineer fell during the ascent of Elbrus. According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russian Federation, she was at the height of 5000 meters above sea level. She fell into a 20 meters’ crevice.

Fourteen professional rescuers of the Elbrus Search and Rescue Group  went to help a mountaineer. They were also accompanied by a doctor. They took some special technical equipment. The mountaineer is alive, but the severity of her injuries is still unknown.

Ukrainian climber fell at the time of the descending from the mountain top. She was a part of the Ukrainian mountaineering group.

According to the head of the EHSRG Abdullah Guliyev, the climber’s failure occurred during the descent from the western top of Elbrus on the saddle.
